What has happened to my America?

AT ONE TIME:

(1) I could be in the rear of a Chinook helicopter, hanging on only by my fingertips and that was ok, but now I can be arrested for not wearing a seat belt.

(2) I could handle and explode a hand-grenade and that was ok, but now I can be arrested for "shooting off" a fire-cracker.

(3) I could discipline an individual for improper behavior and now I can be arrested for abuse or prosecuted for discrimination.

(4) Prayer could be conducted when and where-ever, but now you can be prosecuted for the violation of the civil liberties of someone who has probably not even participated in the saving of those liberties.

(5) Self-defense was just that, but now it can be seen as abuse or a violation of someone's civil liberties while they are abusing or violating yours.

(6) You could leave your home unlocked and the door open with no concern, but now in less than 5 minutes some scumbag will walk in and steal everything not nailed down. Part of the cause of this is in the lack of "true" discipline and in-directed fault by our legal system. Fault in that you left your home unlocked and not that the low-life individuals have been allowed to act this way since birth, with no concern for "true" retribution. Their civil liberties might have been violated, if they were held accountable for their self-centered and care-less attitude.

(7) You were innocent until proven guilty, now you are most definitely guilty until proven innocent. There is a chance that you could die trying to prove it! There are two rules that play in the game. (1) Innocent with a lot of money and (2) guilty with no money!

(8) You could fly a flag with pride and others respected it. Now, there is no respect and you have to have permission to display it. There is a real chance that someone will find a reason that it rubs them the wrong way and will sue you to get it taken down. And, with the system as it is today, you can have 99 out of 100 happy with an entity, but if 1 doesn't like it, the law will force the majority to go by the way of the minority!

All in all, the rights that I could have been asked to die for in the 60's, have been taken away. Where is the justice? It has been redefined by our Supreme Court and as a result, lost and forgotten in another time!

America, what has time done to you?

The Constitution and Morality are being destroyed by:

Our forefathers may be turning over in their graves, before it's over.
