SHODAN: Has acquired a strong foundation of basics and physical senses. NIDAN: Has achieved an understanding of combinations and how to strategically apply them. SANDAN: Has acquired a calm, strong mind in conjunction with a presence of relaxation in the shoulders. YONDAN: Has acquired a oneness of mind and body as related to techniques. Humanitarian deeds are focused on throughout this rank. GODAN: Has acquired impeccable execution in technique and moral character. It involves channeling "spiritual" consciousness through their personally disciplined character. ROKUDAN: Has continued to amplify the prior five DAN Grade abilities and teachings. Continues to pass on their abilities and teachings without reservation. SHICHIDAN Thru JUDAN: Advanced ranks of 7th thru 10th degrees are Honorary Degrees awarded or earned for years of devotion and study. The individual continues to amplify the mystical and "spiritual" essence of the teachings. The ability to focus the power mental Ki is also enhanced at these levels. |
